| So yeah. Xanga's pretty dumb. I'm pretty much going to stop writing in this. If you want to reach me, see my myspace. Better yet, see my Facebook. I don't really have anything to write in here anymore. This was created for the sole purpose of complaining, and I don't like doing that anymore. If you want to talk to me, my screenname is NiceAndBlue18 (if you didn't already know that). Farewell on this plane, friend. | | |
| Hello! I haven't written in here in a while. I think it's a symptom of having something that resembles more of a life. It's a beautiful thing, really. How are you? I'm fantastic! Many things are going just swimmingly. My band is recording this weekend. We have 10 hours of recording time devoted solely on whatever instrumental portions of the songs we get done (which will hopefully be at least 5 songs). We have a general idea of what songs should be on there, but you never know what will come up. Oh. Seeing as I haven't posted any social commentary in a while, I have a tidbit of information for you: According to a gathering of information from 2004, if people did the traditional tithing of 10%, instead of the actual 2.56% collected (according to statistics nationwide throughout the American church), there would've been an additional $164 billion in the church. If the church had allocated $70-80 billion of that money to missions and humanitarian relief, the basic needs of every person on Earth would be provided. Chew on that. | | |
| Today was a beautiful day. These are some of my favorite types of days; dreary and cool. They only come in Sping and Autumn, so I enjoy them when they come around. How are you? I don't hear from many of you anymore, and that makes me sad. Then again, I have quite a bit of the blame in that. My only contact with any of my old friends seems to be through Facebook, and that's not good enough. Then again, many of them aren't in West Chester anymore, and many of them do not have an intent on returning. Who knows? Maybe in a few years I'll find myself in a situation where I won't be here anymore. I feel, however, that that isn't the case. The good Lord hasn't placed it in me to leave this place; when He does, I'll follow wherever He's leading me. At the moment, though, I feel no such inclination from Him. I hope you all feel at home wherever you are, or will at least find home soon. Nobody ever said it's location-specific. | | |
| Not much happening here. It's getting colder. I like it. I'd make myself something to keep me awake, but I have a class at 8 tommorow, and don't need it... I have this big ass-paper due on Monday. I really don't want to do it, and I'm trying my hardest to muster up the gusto to do it competantly. I'm seeing Sleeping At Last this Friday with Jess. You should go; they're wonderful guys. I'm also considering seeing Lovedrug at the First Unitarian Church, but that might be more than my body and money can stand (it's on a Sunday night). The Myriad's even opening for them... argh! Oh well... I hope you all are voting tommorow (or what's likely today, seeing as you're probably reading this through your subscription thingy). I won't tell you who to vote for; I don't like voting straight-ticket, but it looks like it's what I'm going to be doing this election (for the hell of it, really). My typical rule is to vote against every incumbant, or anybody that I think is an incumbant. Doesn't really matter to me which party you're in; I think my way keeps things interesting. I hope you're all having a wonderful life. If you're not, I wouldn't fret; it too shall pass. G-d bless, and take care, friends. | | |
| I saw an anti-abortion protest on-campus today. In addition to the pictures of dead fetuses, they had a banner that said "Homosexuality is a sin." All I could think was "They will know we are Christians by our protests and condemnation." This is a pure product of the culture war. Fuck the culture war. | | |
